The first step of configuring your printer/tablet is selecting the printer and roll size. Upon roll selection a test strip should print from the printer. If you see the message in the image below "Print failed. Check roll size", please do the following:
- Ensure the cables are fully connected to the tablet and the printer is on.
- Open the printer lid by pulling forward on the grey tabs (note: if your printer is the QL800, lift the lid)
- Confirm the roll is seated correctly in the printer. This LINK will provide more instructions on the printer roll.
- The black pieces of the badge roll holder are connected tightly
- It is seated in the printer correctly
- The "wing" part of the holder is in the corresponding slot at the front of the printer
- the roll is not "loose" in the printer
- The label is feeding under the yellow triangle sensor.

- Ensure the printer lid is closed tightly, is turned on, and the light is green. Note: If the printer light is red, please see #2 below under Printer Troubleshooting.
- From the Printer tab in the configuration screen.

- Tap the refresh button at the bottom of the screen and grant permission for the app to connect to the printer when prompted.
6. Re-select your printer from the list and the test strip should print.
