The badge printing light is NOT green.

Troubleshooting: The printer light is NOT green

The printer light under the power button should be green.  A red, orange or blinking red light indicates a printer error. The most common causes are below:

1) Printer light is solid red

This could be 1 of 3 things:
  1. The badge roll is empty: Replace the roll.  Click on the Roll Replacement Video for more information.
  2. The badge roll is not feeding under the sensor: Ensure the roll is feeding under the yellow triangle sensor.

  3. The cover is not fully closed: Close the badge roll cover firmly on both sides.

2) Printer Light is Solid Orange

If you see a solid orange LED light above the power button, it could be that one or both of the small tabs inside the printer lid are jammed.

  1. Open the lid and check both tabs, see image below.

    1. Check both small tabs to see if they are "loose" If so, lift the tab/s so it is in the "up" position.
    2. Close the lid completely and resume printing.

6) Printer Light is Blinking Red

If you see a blinking red LED light above the power button, it could be one of the issues below:
  1. A flashing red light that occurs twice for two seconds indicates a cutter error, which can be cleared by pressing any button.
  2. If the red light flashes at one-second intervals, it may indicate errors such as roll end, no media, wrong media, feed, cover open, transferred data, or memory full.
  3. A red light flashing at a rate of one second off, rapidly on, rapidly off, rapidly on, rapidly off, rapidly on indicates a USB host hub connection error on the Brother QL-1100c.
  4. For a rapid flashing red light, the system error may be present, requiring the printer to be turned off and then back on.
