Maps

There are 3 types of maps that can be used in the app: Venue/General Maps, Session Room Maps, and Exhibit Hall Maps. Other map images can be added to sections of the app such as agenda sessions, notifications and email templates using the WYSIWYG editor. Click HERE for more information.

To add maps to your app, go to Maps > Add
Warning
Maps must be image (not pdf) files. PNG, JPG or GIF images are acceptable. For best results, they should be less than 3000px.
  1. Select your Map image
  2. Give each map a unique name.
  3. Select the map type. See below for a more detailed explanation of each type.

Venue/General Maps

Venue Maps are static map images which can be used to share map images of the event venue, meeting rooms and/or area locations.
  1. More than one venue map can be added to the app.
  2. Each map can be clicked on to see a larger image. You can then scroll and zoom on the image.

Session Room Maps

Session Room Maps can be used to display sections of the map where sessions/meetings will take place. These may be the same as your venue maps or smaller sections of the venue.
  1. Room locations will display under the map image. These rooms can be clicked on to see which agenda sessions are taking place in that room. See image below
  2. These are static map images and more than one can be added.
  3. Rooms are automatically created when locations are uploaded with your agenda. See the Room help article for more information on managing rooms.

Exhibit Hall Maps

Exhibit Hall Maps can be used to display booth or table locations in your exhibit hall. If your app plan includes an interactive exhibit hall map, booths will be clickable on the map. The interactive map can be added on to other app plans as well for an additional fee.
  1. Company names will be listed under the exhibit hall map and can be clicked on to see more information about the company. See image below.
  2. These will be static maps unless an interactive map is included. More than one exhibit hall map can be used.
  3. Companies are added in the Exhibitor and Sponsor section of the admin portal. This is also where the booth locations for each company will be added. See the Exhibitor/Sponsor help articles for more information on adding companies and booth locations.

Map labels can be customized in the app by clicking on the "Navigation Labels" tab under the Map section.
  1. Default values for each map will be provided.
  2. Type in your custom label to change what is displayed in the app

  3. Click on "Update Settings" to save your changes.
