Onsite badge stock design process

Onsite color badge stock design process

If you plan to use the printed black and white badge label as a sticker on colored background cardstock, we have designed a process to help you create your perfect badge design that works well with our labels.

Alert
*This Process requires purchase of the color background template support. Please email support@resultsathand.com if you are interested.

Color Template Creation:

Click on the template design link HERE. Then, follow the instructions below.

Watch the tutorial here for additional instruction.

Here’s how:

  1. Decide what size badge stock works best for your event.
  2. Choose a design from our pre-made templates below and click “Start Customizing”
  3. Once you are directed to Canva, select “View Template” and then “Open in Editor”
  4. Customize the template based on your event’s name, logos, and colors!
  5. When you’re done designing your badge stock:
    • Click the “Share” button located in the top right corner of the screen:
    • Click “Download” and change the File type to “PDF Print”
    • If you are a Premium Canva user, change Color profile to “CMYK (best for professional printing)”. If you aren’t a Premium user, continue with the “RGB” Color profile.
    • Hit “Download” again and save your PDF design starting with the event name, date, and badge size (EX: “ResultsatHandEvent_Oct.15_4x6”)
    • Send PDF and event details to the Results at Hand team who will approve the design and follow up with next steps.

Important Tips:

  1. To ensure ample room for the black and white badge label, do not adjust the white space in the center of the design template.

  2. Leave enough space on the top, bottom, and sides to accommodate print bleeds and cut lines (noted in video tutorial).

  3. If you have not received the Welcome email with the Badge Form already, you will receive it about 4 weeks prior to your event. The R@H team will follow up with the black and white badge label (sticker) and/or any questions regarding your badge label.

  4. Don't forget to bring your printed color badge stock to your event.
