Header rotators appear at the top of your app. Most commonly, they introduce the app or event.
After you click Branding, the first screen you will be taken to is your app’s header rotators. To get to Footer Rotators, simply click the next tab labeled Footer Rotators.
Below is an example screenshot of the rotators screen with further details.

- Use the action icons to perform the following on existing rotators: edit, remove, and make the header active/ inactive.
- If you are displaying more than one header, you can set an interval in which they should change.
- Also Display Parent Rotators, only applies to membership app customers. For a single event, it will default to “No, Do Not Show Parent Rotators”. Membership App Admins: If you want to show rotators from your customer level context, click the button “Include Parent Rotators” to change the parent rotator rules to Yes, Do Show Parent Rotators. If you want to show rotators ONLY uploaded to the event itself, click the button “Exclude Parent Rotators”. The parent rotator rule will now display Do Not Show Parent Rotators.
- Click the tab Add Rotator to add a new rotator, see instructions below.
Add a New Rotator
Click Add Rotator next to the tab titled Manage Rotators. You will be taken to a new screen where you can upload your rotator. Below is an example of this screen.

- The first step is to provide a name for the rotator. This name is only displayed in the Admin Portal and will help you distinguish your rotators from one another.
- Next, choose to make the rotator active if you want it live or inactive if you want it hidden.
- Select if you plan to use one image (scaled) or three images for desktop, tablet and phone and if you want to permit the image to resize or preserve the original. The default is to resize.
- To upload your rotator, we offer three different size uploaders. This is to ensure your rotators look good across multiple screens on desktops, tablets, and phones.
- For Wide-screen images, the rotator must be at least 960px wide, the recommended height is 100px. GIF, JPEG, and PNG formats are accepted. FOOTER ROTATOR MUST BE 100px high.
- For Medium-screen images, the rotator must be at least 600px wide, the recommended height is 100px. GIF, JPEG, and PNG formats are accepted.
- For Narrow-screen images, the rotator must be at least 414px wide, the recommended height is 100px. GIF, JPEG, and PNG formats are accepted.
Reference the tooltip in the Admin Portal for any updates to sizing requirements.
*Note: The system will automatically convert the image to PNG in the app. If you do not want your image converted or you are using an animated GIF, you will need to click "No" preserve original image.
Please Note: If you only have a single file size, you must upload your file to the Wide-Screen Image, regardless of the image size.
Lastly, include a link if you want your rotator to link to a new screen in the app or an external web link. Headers typically aren’t linked while footers are. If your footers are for sponsors, typically you would want to link to their in-app profile or an external website. Hover over the tooltip in the Admin Portal for further tips or contact support@resultsathand.com for assistance.
Banner Format Required: jpg, png or gif
Footer rotators appear at the bottom of your app screen. These are great for sponsor advertisements and messages or to advertise your own event initiative.

- Rotator Update Interval: If you have more than one rotator, this is where you will specify how often the rotator will update throughout the app in seconds.
- Include rotator on exhibitor/sponsor/company pages? By default, the footer rotators appear on all pages throughout the event app. In some circumstances, you may not want to show the footer rotators on the exhibitor/sponsor/company pages because it could show a competitor's footer on the page. If you do not want the footer rotators to show on the exhibit/sponsor/company pages, then click No, do NOT show the rotator on the exhibit/sponsor/company pages.
- Restrict footer rotator max height? By default, the footer rotator max height is restricted to 100px to prevent excessive interference with content on small screens. If you want to use the actual height of the rotator images, select No, use height of the rotator images.
Remember to click on Update Footer Settings to save your changes.
To add new footers, follow the same process as adding a header above.
