Event URL and Web App QR code

Event URL and Web App QR code

URL

The event/company URL allows you to access the app via the web. R@H will populate the URL prior to sending the app Welcome email, however, you do have the ability to change it. If you have an Unlimited/Membership app, the URL will be at the company level and not the event. Here are a few tips to keep in mind:

  1. If the URL is changed, it will impact the links used to access the app. Therefore, changes should be made prior to sending email templates to your attendees
  2. The URL MUST NOT contain any special characters or "-". To separate words, use "underscore only" "_".
  3. Ensure the URL is unique from the rest of your events to avoid sending users to the wrong event.
  4. See below for screen details

Warning
NOTE: abbreviation MUST BE lowercase.  october  NOT  OctoBer

  1. The first time you access this screen, you may see Create New URL Abbreviation only. Once the abbreviation, the QR code will appear.
  2. To change the URL, first click on the trash can next to the current URL/QR code.
  3. Then, create a new URL abbreviation. Please check the previous abbreviations in use (first red arrow above) and use something different.
  4. Click on "Create New URL" to save your changes

QR Code

QR codes provide a quick and easy way for users to access the app. Once the QR code is scanned, the web version of the app will open.

Info
Note: if you have a native app, the app download links will be included on the home page of the web app.

  1. Click the size options between small, medium, and large to filter between three different sizes of the QR code.

  2. Once you select the size, click the links below to download the QR code as a PNG or SVG file to your desktop.
  3. Consider adding the QR code to any of your event promotional materials.
Idea
If you are looking for a QR code to download the app from the AppStore or Google Play, you can convert the weblinks provided in the email templates to QR codes for downloading the mobile app.
