Basic App: This icon will display next to your event listing in the ConferenceBeat Event App Users can add this icon to their device’s home screen for the HMTL5 (web) app.

Membership/Unlimited Events App: The app icon uploaded under your specific event will appear within the Events listing of your app.

To add your app icon, click the tab titled Icon. From here you can upload your new icon. Below is an example of this screen.

Info
The required format for the app icon is jpg or png. Maximum file size is 10 MB.

Splash Screen

At the customer and event context level under Branding, you have the ability to add a splash screen to your app. The splash screen is a full-screen graphic that welcomes app users to your app. The screen appears for just a few seconds while the app loads then transitions into the app’s homepage.

Alert
Note: splash page is not included in the Basic app plan

To get started, click the tab labeled Splash Screen under branding. An example of this screen is below with further details.

Premium Event App clients (client branded app in App Stores), are required to upload a splash image.

Standard Event App clients (client branded event listed in the ConferenceBeat native app) have the option to upload a portrait splash screen.

Below are the required size requirements of each:

  • Portrait splash screen: 2048 pixels wide by 2732 pixels high
  • Landscape splash screen: 2732 pixels wide by 2048 pixels high
  • The maximum size for each splash screen image is 10 MB and must be in png or jpg format.

If you have any questions about the size requirements of your splash screen images, please contact support@resultsathand.com.

Info
Portrait Splash image should be 2048 pixels wide by 2732 pixels high

Fitting your Splash Screen Image

Once you upload your image, you will see additional settings at the bottom of the screen.

If your image dimensions don’t match the app size requirements exactly, you have two options under the How to best fit your image section:

  • Stretch my image to fit: If your image is very close to the size dimension, stretch may be the best option. This option may distort your image but will only render your image on the screen without any screen fill color.
  • Only scale my image and use a fill color: Your image will be scaled based on current ratios and the surrounding screen area will be filled with a background color of your choosing (see below).
  • Fill Color: Fill color is needed for scaled images (NOT stretched). Place your cursor in the text box to active the color picker or type in your color code directly.

Once you have decided your splash screen display settings, click the Upload button to save.

To add a Landscape image, click on the "Landscape" tab. Landscape image size should be 2732 pixels wide by 2048 pixels high.

Click on the "other settings" tab to adjust the speed of the android image (apple can not be edited) and select if you want the splash page to display on the web version of the app.

Background Image

Your app also has the option to have a background image. This can be a graphic or color.

Alert
Important notes:
  1. If you are using a logo as a background, be sure to keep it as opaque as possible.
  2. If you are using a dark background image, consider using a disk under your icon (see navigation settings)
  3. Be sure to check all sections of the app to ensure the content is visible.

Below is an example of the Background Image screen with further details.

  1. Select your background settings.
  2. Select the file and click Upload to add your background image to the app.
  3. Click Upload at the bottom to add the image and save your changes
Idea
We recommend testing your background image on various screens at different opacity levels to ensure the best look
