Adding Livestream Links to your Event and/or Agenda Sessions

With the onset of more virtual and hybrid events you may want to include a link to the livestream presentation for your whole event or for each agenda session.  Once the livestream session is completed, you can add the video recording links for your attendees to view the video at a later time.

To add a livestream link for the entire event, in the admin portal go to Basic Settings then click the Video Streaming tab as shown in screenshot below:

  1. Select Yes that your event has a livestream link.
  2. Select the livestream method (i.e., Zoom, GoTo meeting, etc.)
  3. Enter the livestream link
  4. Enter any other details required for the livestream link (i.e., password)

Make sure to click the update event button to save your changes.

The zoom link will appear on the home page of the event app:

Note here that the password was provided as the livestream details.

After the livestream session is over, you can add the video recording link.  Going back to Basic Settings -> Video Streaming you can add the video recording details.

  1. Select Yes for Has Video Recording
  2. Enter the link for the video recording.
  3. Enter any details you want to provide about the video recording.
  4. Click the update event button to save your changes.

After the event is over, the video recording will display in the same place the livestream link was displayed:

You can also add a livestream link and video recording to each agenda session. 

To add the links, in the admin portal go to Agenda->Manage Sessions and click the edit icon in the actions column next to the session you want to add the livestream information/video recording:

Once in the agenda session details, scroll down to the bottom of the page to the livestream link fields:

  1. Select Yes that your agenda session has a livestream link.
  2. Select the livestream method (i.e., Zoom, GoTo meeting, etc.)
  3. Enter the livestream link
  4. Enter any other details required for the livestream link (i.e., password)

Make sure to click the update session button to save your changes.

Once the livestream link is added, a the strand of livestream session is added to the agenda session in the event app:

Attendees can filter on the strand Livestream Session to see all the session with livestream links.

When you click on the agenda session to see the agenda session details, you will see the link to the livestream session in the event app:

After the livestream session is over, you can add the video recording link. In the admin portal, go back to the agenda session and click the edit icon to update the session details.  Scroll to the bottom of the page and enter the video recording link:

  1. Select Yes for Has Video Recording
  2. Enter the link for the video recording.
  3. Enter any details you want to provide about the video recording.
  4. Click the update event button to save your changes.

After the session is over, the video recording will display in the same place the livestream link was displayed:

A strand called Recording Available is added to the agenda display in the event app so attendees can filter on Recording Available to see all of the sessions with video recordings:

If you have several sessions you want to add livestream links and subsequently, recordings, you can use the agenda uploader to upload your links all at once.  The following columns will need to be added to your agenda upload file:
